LOUISVILLE – The Pittsburgh Riverhounds are set to take on league leading Louisville City FC. The Riverhounds will have to face the USL’s hottest team without the help of their captain Kevin Kerr, who was suspended one game following a red card he received at the end of the first half in the Hounds last game against Orlando City B. This is the only game that Kerr should miss, however he is a key piece to the Riverhounds offense.
Louisville City FC leads the USL with 12 points on the year and a record of 4-0-1. They are coming off of a 3-2 victory at Harrisburg City. Louisville City FC also has the leagues leading scorer to this point in the season, Chandler Hoffman. The Hounds backs are sure to have their hands full with the talented forward from Birmingham Alabama. Hoffman has size and speed, and his previous MLS experience make him one of the most dangerous players in all of the USL.
The Hounds are expected to be without Lebo Moloto for tonight’s game as he is still dealing with a groin injury that has kept him sidelined for the previous 5 halves of play. With both Moloto and Kerr out, look for Zak Boggs and Alex Harlley to pick up some extra playing time in tonight’s match.
On the offensive side of the ball, Romeo Parkes has scored a goal in each of the past two games for the Riverhounds. Most recently, he scored on a PK in stoppage time against Orlando City B.
The Riverhounds are winless so far this season and are hopeful that they can pull off the upset tonight at Louisville Slugger Stadium.
Again, tonight’s match can be streamed on ESPN3.
