PITTSBURGH – The Riverhounds announced today that Saturday’s match against the Harrisburg City Islanders has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The Pittsburgh area forecast calls for 1-3 inches of snow through Saturday night. There is a forecasted high of 36 degrees for the day and expected winds at speeds of 25+ mph.

The match was to decide which team would be awarded this year’s Keystone Derby Cup. No word yet on when the game may be rescheduled.

The Riverhounds’ next game will be an away game in Canada against Toronto FC II, Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Riverhounds are coming off a loss at the hands of the Rochester Rhinos on  Saturday. The Hounds will have to wait an additional week to erase the “0” in the win column. You can find a recap of the Riverhounds’ match against the Rochester Rhinos here.
